Playa de Artola-Cabopino: One of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol
Playa de Artola-Cabopino is one of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol in the municipality of Marbella. It is one of Malaga’s beaches where you can experience a special sense of freedom and natural connection. The landscape will not leave you indifferent, lined with beautiful sand dunes and delicate natural plants such as sea narcissus or junipers.
The Beach and the Artola Dunes
Playa de Cabopino covers an area of 1,200 meters in the Dunas de Artola, a valuable nature reserve in the heart of the Costa del Sol; in 2001, the Junta de Andalucía declared Natural Monument to Artola Dunes.
This spacious beach adjacent to Cabopino Marina also has some stretches for nudist with fine sand golden in colour.
Awards and Water Quality
Playa de Cabopino is flying the Blue Flag, awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education in four areas: environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management, security and services. It also received the Q for the quality of tourism.
What to See Nearby
You can also visit places of great historical interest in the area, such as the Torre Ladrones, a defensive Roman tower declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
