Fuengirola

Fuengirola sits at the centre of the Costa del Sol, under half an hour from Malaga airport and one of the few towns on this coast served by the Cercanias train line into the city. That combination of beachfront living and genuine year-round infrastructure is why new construction here tends to attract buyers who actually use the property, rather than purely speculative ones.

Our current selection covers new developments in Fuengirola and the immediately neighbouring areas of Mijas Costa and Las Lagunas. Most are apartment and penthouse schemes rather than villas: the town is dense and building plots are scarce, so developers build vertically, usually with communal pools, gyms and landscaped gardens.
Where the new builds are

Los Pacos – the elevated western side of town. Sea views, quieter, mostly mid-rise apartment blocks.
Las Lagunas and Mijas Costa – inland from the beach, and where the entry point into new build in this area sits.
El Higueron – the hillside above Carvajal, resort-style developments with hotel services.
Fuengirola centre and the paseo – very limited new stock, rarely available off-plan.

Delivery and payment structure
Most projects listed on this page complete between 2027 and 2028. Buying at this stage means an off-plan purchase on a staged payment schedule: a reservation fee, then instalments across the construction period, with the balance due on completion. In practice your money sits with the developer for two to three years, which is why the deposit guarantee, the licence status and the developer’s record on earlier phases matter more than the brochure does.
