Célere Delmar II: 2 and 3 Bedroom Apartments and Penthouses in Mijas

Célere Delmar II is a gated development of 24 homes in Mijas, between La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola, a two minute walk from the beach. It is built by Vía Célere as a single low-rise building with two entrances, arranged over ground floor, first floor, second floor and a penthouse level, with 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, ground floor homes with private gardens and penthouses with large terraces. The project is under construction, the building permit is in process, and every home comes with a parking space and a storage room.

Homes designed around light and views

The homes are compact but generous where it counts. Interiors run from 65 to 95 m² of built area, or 76 to 111 m² including the share of communal space, all with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area and full height glazing onto the terrace. Second floor homes get the deeper terraces, up to 25.90 m², while the ground floor homes open onto private gardens of up to 153.60 m² with a 60.10 m² terrace on top of that. Every home has two bathrooms, the main one with a washbasin integrated into the vanity unit.

Finishes follow the developer’s specification. Floors are ceramic tile in the living areas and bedrooms, stoneware in the bathrooms and non-slip stoneware on the terraces. The exterior carpentry is aluminium or PVC with double glazing and an air chamber, and the façade combines brick masonry cladding with internal insulation, an air chamber and laminated plasterboard, which is what keeps the noise and the heat out. The kitchen is delivered fitted with high and low units and appliances included: electric oven, ceramic hob, extractor hood, fridge and dishwasher.

The building carries an A energy rating. Domestic hot water is produced by an aerothermal system, heating and cooling run on a ducted heat pump, and a mechanical ventilation system renews the air continuously. Vía Célere estimates that this adds up to around 90% less energy use than an equivalent F rated home.

Location and connections

Célere Delmar II sits on Calle Nogal de Cosmópolis, in the Chaparral area of Mijas, on the stretch of coast between La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola. Marina Beach is a two minute walk away and the Chaparral Golf Club is less than 2 km from the door, which is a large part of why this pocket of the coast rents well outside the summer months.

Fuengirola is 10 minutes away and La Cala de Mijas is on the other side, both with beach clubs, chiringuitos and a full set of everyday services. The A-7 runs along the coast and the AP-7 toll motorway entrances are close by, putting Marbella at around 20 minutes and Málaga airport and Puerto Banús at under 25 minutes. María Zambrano station in Málaga is about 40 minutes by car.
